Volunteers are the Foundation’s heart and soul.
Their work allows the Megan S. Ott Foundation to help bring sunshine to grant recipients. Our volunteers assist in many different ways, including:
- Assemble gift baskets for recipients
- Make visits with recipients
- Help plan fundraising events
- Obtain and manage sponsorships
- Work with the media on publicity
- Help create the newsletter
This is just a few of the ways you can help. If you would like to volunteer, we have a role for you.
Opportunities to give to the Foundation are endless.

Courage is not the absence of fear.
Courage is the will to go on in spite of it.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
Having had cancer, one important thing to know is you're still the same person in the end. You're stripped down to near zero. But most people come out the other end feeling more like themselves than ever before.
The number one priority of the Megan S. Ott Foundation is to bring as much joy, happiness and laughter into the lives of the families we support.
Megan Snyder Ott, Founder
Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
Be patient and don't give up. Trust me when I say, you will come out changed and stronger, on the other end of this.
