How We Help
The Megan S. Ott Foundation provides immediate, custom assistance to families in the Indianapolis Metro community.
Recipients are referred to the Foundation from Community Health Network/Community Breast Care in Indianapolis and Riverview Health in Noblesville.
Two Foundation volunteers are paired with each recipient. We build personal, supportive relationships with our recipients. We offer support to families fighting a day-by-day battle against breast cancer.
From the very beginning of our journey with these families, we recognize their strength and honor their courage.
The first time Foundation volunteers meet with a recipient, we provide them with a basket filled with special items, some of which were selected by Megan. These items gave Megan comfort, and she wanted to share them with others.
All of our grants are individualized to the need of the family. We have assisted with utility and medical bills, Christmas presents for families, vacations and weekend getaways, spa days for mothers and daughters, mortgage and rent payments, prescription drugs, back to school supplies, movie and theater tickets, gift cards, and meals when needed.
We also provide “sunshine” in the form of cards and phone calls. We send floral and fruit bouquets to celebrate the good news, and encouragement or simply support when the news is not good.
