On Saturday, October 5th, The Noblesville Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary and the Noblesville Fire Department hosted their annual pancake breakfast at station #71. The breakfast included a raffle with prizes from local business. The proceeds of the raffle want to varies organization in Noblesville. For the eighth consecutive year, Hamilton County Fire Fighters Local 4416 sold breast cancer awareness shirts. The foundation was gifted $1,750.00 from the event.
During the month of October, local online boutique Shop Goldylox sold Breast Cancer awareness shirts in which owner Jill Eicher designed. Over 125 people bought a shirt and Shop Goldylox gave 100% of the proceeds to the foundation which totaled $2,223.74. We can’t thank Jill and Shop Goldylox enough for pairing with the foundation during October for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
In partnership with the Megan S. Ott Foundation, Lockhart Cadillac in Fishers held a fundraiser in October in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month. For every car sold at the dealership in October they donated a portion of the sale to the foundation. Lockhart Cadillac of Fishers presented the foundation with $2,600 for their fundraising efforts. We look forward to partnering with Lockhart Cadillac of Fishers again in the future.

The Noblesville Millers Girls and Boys Soccer teams have been raising funds for the Megan S. Ott Foundation for the last five years. Both teams had a “pink out” game in September which raised $2,500.00 for the foundation. Over the last five years, the teams have raised over $17,500.00 which goes back into our community in assisting Breast Cancer patients and their families. Way to go Millers!
On Sunday, September 15th, the New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers held their 8th Annual Day of Caring where over 400 volunteers serve 29 organizations throughout Hamilton and Marion County. Foundation Ambassadors Lynn Cook and Amie Lieurance lead a group of volunteers to make 20 fleece blankets for our recipient bags.
A friend had made Megan a blanket that she used to stay warm during chemo and it brought a lot of comfort to her. The blankets we make will bring comfort to 20 more sweet souls who are fighting this terrible disease.

The 9th annual “A Night for Magical Moments” was held Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at the Marriott Indianapolis North Hotel. This magical evening was attended by over 350 guests who helped raise more than $126,000.
The event was presented by Community Hospital Oncology Physicians. As always, a highlight of the evening, Smith Jewelers of Noblesville presented “THIS MAGIC MOMENT…will take you by surprise!” with a chance to win a white gold and green tourmaline ring and a white and gold diamond bangle bracelet which together retail for over $8,000. The lucky winner received the winning ticket with the purchase of a glass of champagne.
This year, Geoffrey Cowman, with Alpert Enterprise’s was the auctioneer. The evening’s silent auction consisted of 158 items. Live auction items included a one week’s stay for 12 at a private tropical villa located in Manzanillo, Mexico, a one week’s stay at a private condo overlooking Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos, African Safari to Zulu Nyala, and a Private Backyard BBQ for 40 people.

In February, Foundation recipient and breast cancer survivor, Katie Kelly, sent us a letter to tell us about a fundraiser created by her seven-year-old daughter, Daphne. Daphne, who was less than twelve months old at the time of Katie’s diagnosis, designed note cards and sold them to raise money. So far, Daphne has raised $350 to honor her mother and to support the Megan S. Ott Foundation.
Homewood Suites in Carmel held a fundraiser inviting employees to dress casual for a cause on Fridays for a small donation. During the month of February, the team at Homewood Suites raised $228 to support local breast cancer patients.

The Megan S. Ott Foundation has been fortunate to receive such an outpouring of support from the students, parents, and faculty of Noblesville Schools. On December 5, 2018, Noblesville High School Honor Society officers donated one dozen fleece blankets. These warm blankets will be delivered to local men and women with breast cancer as part of the Foundation’s mission to bring sunshine and joy to individuals and their families fighting this disease.

On Sunday, September 16th, the New Hope Presbyterian Church held their 7th Annual Day of Caring where over 370 volunteer congregation members and guests served 29 organizations throughout Hamilton and Marion County. Each year, Foundation Ambassador, Lynn Cook, leads a group of volunteers to make 20 fleece blankets to include with sunshine bags for Foundation recipients.
On Saturday, September 22th, the Hamilton Southeastern High School Boys Soccer team held a Pink Game with activities to raise funds and awareness. This year, they raised $281 at their bake sale and donated these funds to the Foundation.
The Noblesville Millers Girls and Boys Soccer teams raised vital funds for the Megan S. Ott Foundation for the fourth consecutive year. Everyone with Noblesville Schools system participated from Pink Out fundraisers at the elementary and middle schools to Pink Out nights at the soccer fields during September. The Girls team also made a variety of two dozen fun and cozy blankets to deliver to breast cancer patients this fall. Over the last four years, the Girls Soccer Team has raised nearly $15,000 in total, and on Wednesday, September 26th, these remarkable student athletes presented the Megan S. Ott Foundation with a check for an all-time record of over $4,600!
On Wednesday, September 26th, Jazzercise Carmel/Westfield held a class at Urban Vines Winery & Brewery in Westfield and raised $684 to support local breast cancer patients.
On Monday, September 17th, Sahm’s held their 29th Annual Charity Golf Outing at Prairie View Golf Course with funds raised once again benefitting the Megan S. Ott Foundation. In addition to beautiful weather for a day on the golf course, guests also enjoyed a full lunch buffet, Big Lug Canteen beer, and a rib and steak dinner.

During their May meeting, 100+ Women Who Care in Hamilton County members selected the Megan S. Ott Foundation as their quarterly chosen charity, and on Wednesday, August 22, they presented the Foundation with a check for $4,300 to help bring sunshine and support to breast cancer patients in Hamilton County.
The Mom’s Club of Fishers Northeast raised $1,600 and presented it to the Foundation.

Karnival for Karie (a carnival started by two of Karrie Wong’s friends-who was a recipient of the Foundation who lost her battle) raised $212.50 for the Foundation.

The 6th Annual Night for Magical Moments was held May 14, 2015, The magical evening was once again held at the Marriott North Hotel in Indianapolis, with almost 400 people in attandance.

In November the Noblesville Boys & Girls Soccer Teams present the Foundation with a check for $3,505.29. They raised money during the soccer season at all of their home games and with bake sales and car washes.
Courtney Nichols (a former recipient of the Foundation ) gave proceeds from a Keep Collective Campaign during the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) to the Foundation – totaling $650.00.

The Sheridan Lady Blackhawks for the third year raised money for the Foundation. It was a wonderful “Pink-Out” evening in the gym. Almost everyone in attendance had on pink attire. This year Megan’s daughters Katherine and Lauren were in attendance to help pick up the “big” check! What a wonderful group of young ladies!
The girls raised $2,110.63. In the 3 years they have been raising money for the Foundation they have raised over $8,000.00!

The Foundation brought Kara Thewlies Tippetts and her family home to Indiana from Colorado Springs for the week of Thanksgiving. Kara was a friend and classmate of Megan’s at Noblesville High School and became well known when she started a blog about her journey with breast cancer. Mundane Faithfulness was read by thousands. Kara’s book The Hardest Peace was also read purchased by thousands of people all across the United States. On November 24th, Kara spoke to over 700 people at an evening sponsored by the Foundation. It was a very memorable evening for all who attended. A few short months later, Kara lost her battle with breast cancer but left behind a beautiful legacy.

For the third year in a row the Noblesville Firefighters and Auxillary raised money for the Foundation from their Pancake Breakfast and the selling of T-shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Carmel Middle School Cheerleaders spent a week raising money for Foundation. They sold t-shirts, headbands, collected donations at football games and raffled off the opportunity to pie a teacher!

The Sheridan Girls Basketball Team (Lady Hawks) held their second annual “Pink-Out” Night. The team raised money by selling pink t-shirts, and taking donations. The opposing team for the evening sold pink t-shirts at their school.
They raised over $3,166.12!

On a brisk Saturday 14 teams participated in the 4th annual Megan S. Ott Kickball Tournament at the Field of Dreams at Hazel Dell Elementary in Noblesville.
Karen Hensel from Channel 8 WISH TV was host for the opening ceremonies, which included the first “pitch” being rolled out by Megan’s husband Tom and their two daughters, Katherine and Lauren. The kicker was Doug Snyder from 2012 Champions “The Other Snyders”. Doug was a student of Megan’s the first year she taught fourth grade at Hazel Dell Elementary.
It was a great day of competition and fun for all ages with a bounce house and face painting for the younger children. After the championship game, Sahm’s catering provided a great meal for the team members at the Pebble Brook Golf Course Pavillion.
The champions once again were “The Other Snyders.”

Noblesville Professional Firefighters and Ladies Auxiliary donated $1,300 to the Foundation. This is the second year the fire department has donated to the Foundation. They wanted to find a local foundation to help. They sell T-shirts for breast cancer awareness and also give a portion of the money raised at the annual Pancake breakfast.

Another Magical Evening in 2013
Once again a capacity crowd gathered for the 3rd annual “A Night for Magical Moments” benefit for the Megan S. Ott Foundation held at the Sahm’s Atrium at One America Tower in downtown Indianapolis. Karen Hensel of CBS-WISH TV Channel 8 was Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.

A special highlight of the evening and a huge success this year was Wine Pull sponsored by the Midwest Wine Guy. During the blind wine draw guests were able to choose a bottle ranging in value from $25 to $250.

Dave n Rae provided entertainment while the guests danced the night away.

The Sheridan Girls Varsity Basketball team wanted to raise money for breast cancer awareness and wanted the money to stay local. One of the girls on the team was aware of the Foundation so the girls decided to give the money they raised to the Foundation. They did a “Pink Out Night” at one of their home basketball games. They sold cookies, t-shirts, and then all the schools got involved. They had a goal of $1500 (one of the coaches said if they reached the goal he would shave his head). Well, they reached that goal and more and three coaches shaved their heads. The team even had pink uniforms donated by a supporter of the fundraiser!
They raised over $2400 for the Foundation! What a very special donation!

Kickin’ cancer again
On a nice fall Saturday, a full field of teams participated in the third annual Megan S. Ott Foundation kickball tournament at the “Field of Dreams” in Noblesville. “Rae” of Indianapolis famed Dave n Rae hosted the tournament’s opening which features the ceremonial first pitch rolled out by Megan’s husband, Tom, and their two daughters, Katherine and Lauren.
Jenni Sahm-team captain of 2011 tournament winner, “Team Sahms” kicked the first pitch and a full day of games were under way.
After a full bracket of five games, “The Other Snyders” were crowned the 2012 champions. Following the championship game everyone gathered at Pebble Brook Golf Club for a dinner sponsored by Sweet and Savory.

Later in the evening one lucky couple learned that their bag contained a one carat diamond while eveyone else won a cubic zirconia.

The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team from Raymond Park Middle School in Warren Township donated their proceeds from their last home basketball game to the Foundation.
Also in March, Incrediplex (Sports, Entertainment & Bistro) in Indianapolis held a fun day for families that benefited the Foundation.

On a windy Saturday, 16 teams participated in the second Megan S. Ott Foundation kickball tournament at the “Field of Dreams” in Noblesville.
WISH-TV’s Karen Hensel hosted the opening ceremonies that included the first pitch rolled out by Megan’s husband Tom and their two daughters Katherine and Lauren. Ronda Hurst—the captain of last year’s winning team, the Blended Bombers—kicked the first pitch and got the games started. After a full bracket of five games, Team Sahms was crowned 2011 champions. The Hazel Dell Team was runner-ups.
Following the championship game everyone gathered at Pebble Brook Golf Club for a dinner sponsored by Sweet and Savory.

Kicking for Cancer
Twelve teams gathered at the ‘Field of Dreams’ in Noblesville to play in the inaugural Megan S. Ott Foundation kickball tournament. Opening ceremonies included the first pitch rolled out by Megan’s husband Tom and daughters Katherine and Lauren. The Foundation’s first recipient Sue Gayle kicked the first pitch to get the tournament started. The “Blended Bombers” team were crowned champions after a day of great competition.
Following the tournament, players, families, and Foundation supporters gathered at Pebble Brook Golf Club for a dinner sponsored by Sweet and Savory. There was also a silent auction featuring 125 items.
